3. Governance

Governance ensures the integrity of your project with Posmo. At Posmo, we prioritize the privacy and security of data producers and their data. Data producers are what we call the gathering their own data. To achieve this, we have established the Posmo model. Within this, the Ethics Board occupies a key role as a cornerstone of our commitment.

Read more in the following chapters about the functioning of the Ethics Board and its associated costs.

3.1. Ethics Board

The Ethics Board serves as a monitoring body within the Posmo Model. Its primary objective is to uphold ethical standards throughout a project's lifecycle. It is tasked with safeguarding the principles of fairness, transparency, and accountability.

In the event of ethical concerns or disputes, the Ethics Board serves as a neutral body for issue resolution, providing guidance and recommendations for addressing ethical issues. During this time, projects will be paused, until the situation is remedied.

Here are the different roles the Ethics Board has within different Posmo Products:

  • Tracking: Each Tracking project is reviewed twice by the Ethics board. First at project initiation. Once you submit your Invite Page (and, if applicable, your Survey), the Ethics Board approval process is initiated. After this, changes to your Invite Page are connected to new costs, as the Ethics Board review process must be re-initiated. Second, every Tracking project is reviewed once the analysis phase of each project begins.

3.2. Governance Costs

To sustain the Ethics Board's operations, a standard 10% fee is added to each Tracking project.

The fee is calculated as a percentage of the project's total budget. It is automatically added to the project at purchase. You can see it displayed on your bill.
